I am Liza Hadawi, a student in Kibera, one of Kenya’s largest slums. Life here is a daily struggle. I live with my single mother and siblings, facing a constant shortage of water and food. My mother works tirelessly in wealthier neighborhoods doing odd jobs to provide for us. Despite the hardships, school brings me joy and a much-needed meal. Church is another source of happiness, where I play, sing hymns, and learn Bible stories. Nights are often cold, and rain floods our home, but my mother’s prayers keep us hopeful.

Our lives changed when ANEHOPE Ministry invited me to attend a private school, providing meals and a better learning environment. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity. My dream is to excel in school, achieve financial stability, and provide my mother with a comfortable home.
