I am Nelly Ineza, a third-year student at Groupe Scolaire Mubuga in Rwanda. As the eldest of six siblings, my journey has been marked by resilience and faith. Our family faced immense challenges, including becoming refugees in Congo and losing our father during that time. My mother, a pillar of strength, brought us back to Rwanda and has worked tirelessly to provide for us. Life in our village is tough, but my mother’s unwavering dedication ensures we never go hungry. She labors on our small plot of land and takes on additional work to sustain us. Sundays are special as we are the first to arrive at church, instilling a deep faith and love for Christ in us. I find joy in singing at church and participating in youth activities. ANEHOPE Ministry has been a beacon of hope, supporting our education after my father’s passing. Their assistance has lifted a significant burden from my mother’s shoulders, allowing her to focus on our well-being. My dreams include caring for animals or becoming a fashion designer, and I dedicate my time to helping my mother and my younger siblings with their homework.
